Established in 1950 by Clyde Nettles, the company is still owned and operated today by the Porth family.  Tony, Albert and Jamie Porth purchased the business when Mr. Nettles retired in 1983, with a promise to maintain the pride in the Nettles name so carefully built throughout the years.
Today, Clyde Nettles employs approximately 50 people and handles commercial and residential projects, with divisions including Commercial Painting, Residential Painting, Roofing and Carpentry.  The company acts as a subcontractor on large commercial jobs, and hires, smaller, independent professionals as subcontractors for residential projects.
The majority of the work of the Commercial division is painting in new construction such as shopping centers and office buildings.  The residential division handles every aspect of home repair and improvement, including exterior and interior painting, roofing, and carpentry for remodeling or repairs.  The company is experienced in insurance repairs for fire and water damage, including replacing carpeting, tile and household fixtures.  Clyde Nettles Roofing and Painting can also handle more extensive damage repairs.
The Clyde Nettles name has been built on an attitude of a concern for details and an emphasis on quality above all else.  This attitude carries through every aspect of the business, says company President Suzette Porth.  "Our employees are talented individuals who are good at the work they do and are proud of it.
